Artist Statement
My work explores the space between abstraction and figuration, where
form dissolves into gesture and color. Through layered surfaces and fluid
mark-making, I investigate movement, depth, and the emotional resonance
of visual experience.
Each painting develops through an intuitive process, guided by perception
and response rather than fixed representation. I am interested in creating
works that invite open interpretation—where viewers can engage with
shifting forms, rhythms, and atmospheres that evoke rather than describe.
I am also interested in how painting can be experienced in public-facing contexts, where perception is shaped by movement, distance, and passing
viewers.
